Ariel is used to getting her way. Ever since she was a child, she was praised for her looks and her voice. She was beauty and daity, with fiery red hair and porcelain skin. Her voice alone could mesmerize crowds and she had never even taken lessons. She would have been well on her way to stardom if she had the money, but with her father struggling to raise his many daughters, he had little money. Ariel had always been his favourite, of course, with reason. She was once adventurous, even rebellious. Everyone praised her and no one would say no to her, all that changed in her adolescence. Of course, she was stil the talk of the town but she had caught her father’s attention. His abuse eventually made her change. No longer did she sing, no longer did she feel the need to explore the world as she once had. She was withdrawn, entirely too focused on herself. Not only was she becoming cold, but from all the years of praise, she ws slowly turning into some sort of monster. No one would ever see that in her. She was too beautiful, too talented… until the day she struck back against her father and she was sent here.
